Dragonmaker - Masks

Each of my masks is hand made with great attention to detail and construction, making them as comfortable to wear as they are enjoyable to look at. They are formed over a wire rimmed, vinyl base that stays slightly flexible around the edges, allowing them to fit a wide variety of face shapes. They are then decorated with feathers, fabric and floral leaves. Eyes, noses and beaks are made of a light-weight, air drying modeling material, then sealed with paper-mache, acrylics and polyurethane. My masks are intended for costume use and have a soft fabric liner for comfort. However, as many people buy them purely for decoration, I do provide wall hanging display hooks. Once again, each mask is hand-made, so expect slight variations.

Velvet Butterfly (click on image to enlarge) A pure piece of fantasy reminiscent of Venetian ballroom costuming, this mask is made of handmade paper fiber, pressed in a mold and then painted to resemble antique gold. The insets are rich velvets in dark blue and purple. Because of the shimmer of the velvet, the colors are difficult to show in here, but they perfectly compliment the colors in the peacock feathers above. Wild Man (click on image to enlarge) My wild man is a very transforming mask, covering three-quarters of the face. The natural colors of the pheasant feathers blend with a wide variety of hair colors. This mask fits both men and women, as do all my masks... But it looks really good on guys with beards! 	Brown Wood Sprite (click on image to enlarge) Whimsical, charming, and done in all natural color pheasant feathers, this mask is also a good companion to the Wild Man mask. Brown Wood Sprite $75.00
Goblin (click on image to enlarge) A little bit sinister, with a dark, fey look, but still with a hint of fun in the bushy eyebrows and exaggerated nose. The black feathers are dyed, and the green are a rich, natural iridescent. Goblin $85.00
	Green Wood Sprite (click on image to enlarge) A slightly darker version of the Wood Sprite. The dark green iridescent feathers on the lower half add a hint of elegance to this version of a forest spirit. A good companion to the Goblin. Green Wood Sprite $75.00
Dragon Mask (click on image to enlarge) Spectacular as a wall hanging, this mask is also designed to be comfortable to wear an is made of strong, lightweight, wire-reinforced paper-mache. The interior is fabric lined for comfort and the whole thing is slightly flexible about the edges to fit different faces. The mottled dark green and gold coloring is accomplished by applying dyed pieces of silk fiber paper to the surface and sealing it with acrylic. 	Fantasy Peacock (click on image to enlarge) Combining the flamboyant elements of the peacock into an elegant mask, the luxuriant natural peacock eyes are perfectly complimented by dark green iridescent pheasant feathers, accented by black feathers and a glossy black beak.
